Three women’s basketball players will not finish their collegiate careers as Lady Mavericks.
Junior guard Christina Devers, junior forward Greta Kairyte and freshman point guard Ericka Mattingly are leaving the team after one season.
"It’s just kind of what happens this time of year," head coach Krista Gerlich said. "You do evaluations, and kids decide if they’re happy here, if they want to continue to pursue all their goals here or not."
Devers left UTA because it was not a good fit, Gerlich said.
Devers did not respond by publishing time.
Mattingly decided to forgo her sophomore season with the Lady Mavericks to move closer to home.
