UTA (18-8, 9-6) couldn’t complete the sweep of its three-game home stand in a 64-61 loss to the University of Louisiana at Monroe on Saturday at College Park Center.
Both teams shot the ball poorly in the first half with the Warhawks shooting 32 percent and the Mavs shooting 29 percent. The Mavs finished the half on a 4-0 run to trim the lead to 26-22 going into the half.
Junior forward Jorge Bilbao (http://www.utamavs.com/sports/m-baskbl/mtt/jorge_bilbao_851240.html) was the only source of offense in the half with nine points, including him hitting just his second 3-pointer of the season.
