UTA Volleyball returned to College Park Center looking to start a winning streak.
UTA Volleyball achieved half of its goal in day one of the UT Arlington Invitational, defeating Samford 3-2 before falling to University of New Mexico 3-1.
UTA faced a 2-0 deficit in the match against Stamford, but rallied in the third set to win 25-21 and prevent a sweep. UTA continued to charge, taking the match to a fifth deciding set before claiming the match with a 15-10 set win.
Sophomore middle blocker Marisah Ingram led the team with a career high of 14 kills, followed by sophomore middle blocker Zhanelle Geathers with 12.
