After an eventful preseason that saw a six-match win streak, the UTA volleyball team heads into Sun Belt Conference play eager for success.
“I’m really looking forward to preseason being over,” junior middle blocker Madison Hill said. “A lot of work was put into this preseason, and I’m excited to, you know, see how the conference is and win.”
Last season, the Mavericks finished with a 7-9 record in conference play; it was first time the team posted a losing conference record since 2012, going 5-13.
The team entered its 2018 season ranked fourth in the West Division of the 2018 Sun Belt Conference volleyball coaches’ preseason poll.
