The volleyball team (8-12, 2-5) lost 3-0 against Texas State University on Friday at Strahan Coliseum.
Both teams tied early at 9-9, but eventually, Texas State used a late 6-0 run to win the first set 25-19 and take a 1-0 lead in the match.
The Bobcats extended its lead to 2-0, as UTA fell 25-21 in the second set.
UTA took an 8-7 lead in the beginning of the third set but was unable to contain Texas State and lost 25-17, giving the Bobcats the 3-0 sweep.
Sophomore outside hitter Kylie Jedlicka had nine kills and one assist, senior outside hitter Qiana Canete had seven kills and junior middle blocker Zhanelle Geathers had six.
