UTA Volleyball had a quick night at College Park Center thanks to a 3-0 sweep against University of Louisiana-Monroe Friday.
The Mavericks advanced to a 21-9 lead shortly after the start of the match. Senior outside hitter Kaitlyn Granger's three kills played a hand in UTA's 11-1 run midway through the set. The Mavericks limited the Warhawks to only 10 points in the first set with an strong 25-10 win.
UTA had a hotter hand in the second set. Sophomore middle blocker Zhanelle Geathers's three consecutive kills and junior outside hitter Qiana Canete's four pushed the Warhawks to a 16-3 trail.
