Contrasting the unpredictable, fast-paced action that happens on the court, J.T. Wenger is a calm and collected figure on the sidelines during UTA volleyball matches.
In his third year at UTA, the head coach has instilled his intuitive approach to the game, with all of his background experience molding him into the tactician he is today.
Growing up, Wenger said volleyball spoke to him in ways other sports he played didn’t.
He said he enjoys the chess match aspect of the game the most. Education and understanding the game entirely are the key to creating a paradigm shift between different levels of volleyball.
