The UTA Volleyball team lost against Abilene Christian University Wildcats Tuesday at Moody Coliseum.
UTA Volleyball got off to a slow start in the first set, as they trailed the Wildcats. Junior outside hitter Qiana Canete had three kills in a 4-0 run, giving UTA Volleyball their first lead late in the set at 18-17. UTA went on to finish the set with a 28-26 win.
The Wildcats stepped it up in the second match. Sophomore outside hitter Jacey Smith's three kills helped ACU go on a 5-0 run midway through the set and gain a 13-9 lead, forcing UTA to call a timeout.
