With a better understanding of the Sun Belt Conference, second-year head coach J.T. Wenger looks forward to the new volleyball season and what is needed to improve on from last season.
The Mavericks ended the 2017 season with an overall 13-17 record and a first round defeat in the Sun Belt Championship.
The 2018 roster is made up of eight veterans and 10 newcomers that featuring five freshmen and four transfer athletes. With the mix of veterans and freshman players, there is lot of excitement, Wenger said.
“I’m excited for the freshmen to get here, I’m excited for the transfers to get here,” Wenger said.
