Yahao Zhang is a veteran of table tennis and hopes to share the tricks of his trade with UTA Table Tennis as its new coach.
He said it was a friend who piqued his interest in coaching a team that pursued the necessary guidance needed to qualify for the big tournaments.
“I came across a friend of mine that said [the table tennis club] needed guidance through training and preparation for collegiate tournaments and, of course, trying to qualify for the nationals,” he said. “That got me into wanting to develop table tennis as a sport and to help the program across the board.
