The Movin’ Mavs defeated Team Canada 68-66 on Sunday at the Maverick Activities Center.
Junior Fabian Romo got off to a strong start scoring nine points in the first quarter, finishing with 26 points for the game.
The Movin' Mavs were up by as many as 11 points in the first half, but consistent movement from Canada kept the game within a close distance.
“That’s us getting too comfortable,” Romo said. “If we have a lead, we have to be able to maintain that lead and put the pressure and make sure the team has no where as near of a chance to get back in the game.
