The UTA golf teams will tee off their workweek on the road.
The men’s team will compete in the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational from Oct. 7 to Oct. 8 at the Colorado National Golf Club in Erie, Colorado.
Meanwhile, the women’s team will hit the green in the New Mexico State Aggie Invitational at the New Mexico State Golf Course in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
The men are coming off of a three-way co-championship showing at the Lone Star Invitational on Sept. 17. Using the same five golfers — junior Paul Gonzalez, sophomores Caleb Hicks, Kyle Cox and Zakary Jones, and freshman Daniel Cronje, with Zach Cole as an individual — that performed well last outing, head coach Casey Devoll said he expects them to compete for the title again.
