The volleyball team (13-15, 7-8) secured a 3-2 victory against the University of Louisiana-Monroe on Friday at College Park Center.
“We fought hard for this match, for sure,” head coach J.T. Wenger said. “It was a battle, a long battle, and we’re excited to come out victorious.”
Junior middle blocker Zhanelle Geathers said the team knows how to execute even when an opponent makes it tough.
“I think we’ve learned how to execute at times when teams don’t make errors,” she said. “We have to play our game to get them out of their system and make them change what they’re doing to impact us in the end.
