Lore OyedeleSenior center Rebekah VanDijk’s 29-point, 15-rebound outing helped propel the women’s basketball team (10-9, 4-4) to a 70-61 victory over the University of Louisiana at Monroe on Saturday at College Park Center.
Head coach Krista Gerlich said the Lady Mavericks were proud of the win, but are always looking for opportunities and ways to improve.
“[We] have to show up and battle every night in the Sun Belt,” Gerlich said.
