The women’s basketball team (8-8, 2-3) fell 0-2 on Thursday and Saturday against the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and Arkansas State University.

University of Arkansas at Little Rock 59, UTA 57

The Lady Mavericks’ comeback bid fell short 59-57 to the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Trojans on Thursday in Little Rock, Arkansas.

The Lady Mavericks trailed the Trojans 50-43 going into the final frame, but UTA managed to claw itself back into the game by outscoring Little Rock 14-9 in the fourth.
