The Lady Mavericks moved to 3-0 on the season after a 69-68 overtime road win against UT-San Antonio on Wednesday at the Convocation Center.
Senior Shelby Richards sank a free throw in the final seconds for the Lady Mavericks and UT-San Antonio missed a three-pointer at the buzzer. The win was the Lady Mavericks third in five days.
The Lady Mavericks were down at the half by two, but fought back and had a eight-point lead early in the fourth. The Roadrunners were on the their heels the remainder of the game, then went on a 7-0 run late in the fourth to lead by two.
