The UTA men's and women’s cross-country teams concluded their season, placing 10th and 18th respectively at the NCAA South Central Regional Cross-Country Championships on Friday.
Sophomore Justin Domangue led the UTA men as he finished 11th individually with a time of 30:14.0 in the 10K race, earning all-region honors for the second consecutive year. His 11th-place finish was three spots shy of the best finish in school history.
Domangue was five positions and nine seconds away from qualifying for the NCAA Championships, something only five UTA men have accomplished.
The top four finishers who are not on the top two teams, the University of Arkansas and UT-Austin, earn a spot in the NCAA Championships, head coach John Sauerhage said.
