The baseball team has lost its last four games, all at home, and dropped six of its first eight games of the season during its worst start since 2014.
Head coach Darin Thomas said he knows future opponents won’t have any sympathy for the Mavericks.
“Nobody’s going to feel sorry for you,” Darin Thomas said. “When you’re in a little bit of a slump, it’s only going to get worse if you don’t fight your way out of it.”
That fight will continue when the Mavericks host the Dallas Baptist Patriots at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Clay Gould Ballpark.
