Game 1
In the series opener, the Mavericks scored a season-high 18 runs as sophomore catcher Will Olson powered the offense with five RBIs.
Senior pitcher Kadon Simmons held the Mountaineers in check, allowing just six hits and one earned run in seven innings pitched.
Simmons earned his fourth win of the year as the Mavericks prevailed 18-1.
Game 2
Junior pitcher Trae Patterson earned his third win of the season in the second game of the series, placing the Mavericks first in the Sun Belt Conference western division with a 5-2 win.
