On Thursday, the men’s and women’s cross-country teams were projected to finish near opposite ends of the Sun Belt Conference’s preseason poll.
The men’s team was picked to repeat as conference champions. Senior Justin Domangue and sophomore Jared Lautenslager were named two of the “Top 7 Men’s Cross Country Runners to Watch.”
The women’s team is projected to finish eighth in conference. Last season, the women finished 10th at the Sun Belt Conference Cross Country Championships, their lowest finish since winning the title in 2014.
