The softball team (7-6) split the rest of its weekend games against DePaul University and Sam Houston State University on Sunday at Allan Saxe Field.

Freshman infielder Madison Miller hit three-run home runs in the top of the eighth inning to lift the Mavericks to 4-2 victory over DePaul University on Sunday at Allan Saxe Field.
“It was my first home run of my career here, so it was pretty exciting,” Miller said. “I was just trying to do whatever I could for the team to get it done.
