Down in a practice gym at College Park Center, senior outside hitter Qiana Canete and freshman high jumper Josh Canete are having a friendly sibling debate about who’s the best athlete in their family.
Both presented their cases as to who is the best.
Qiana Canete made the Texas state finals in high jump and finished third in her sophomore year at Copperas Cove High School, while Josh Canete made state his senior year, taking second place.
Josh Canete said since he finished second he was the better athlete. However, Qiana Canete pointed out she made the state finals as a sophomore in her only year competing in the high jump.
