TROY, ALABAMA - Scott Cross, former men’s basketball head coach, will take on his alma mater for the first time when Troy University faces UTA on Tuesday at Trojan Arena.
Before the matchup, The Shorthorn sat down with athletic director Jim Baker to discuss Tuesday’s game and the state of the men’s basketball program since Chris Ogden was hired as head coach in April 2018.
The Shorthorn: What are your thoughts on the state of the program since head coach Chris Ogden’s hiring?
Baker: It’s going in the right direction. Last year, we were really playing our best ball, which he preaches, in February and March.
