Six Aggie pitchers combined to keep the Mavericks off the scoreboard for the first 17 frames. The most notable being relievers Cason Sherrod and Asa Lacy. Sherrod worked 5.2 innings, scattering five hits and one walk while striking out three. Lacy pitched 4.2 innings, yielding two hits and one walk while striking out five. Starter Chandler Jozwiak worked 4.0 innings, giving up two hits and one walk while striking out five.
Michael Helman, Chris Andritsos and Logan Foster each logged two hits for the Aggies and A&M drew 11 walks, but they were ultimately doomed by 19 runners left on base and two errors committed in the 18th inning.
