The Movin' Mavs and Lady Movin' Mavs opened the season with the Jim Hayes Memorial Tournament Friday at the Maverick Activities Center.
The tournament runs Friday through Sunday and will host collegiate and noncollegiate teams. Both teams faced the University of Alabama on Friday.
The Lady Movin' Mavs will face a rematch against Alabama at 9 a.m. Saturday in the MAC. They will conclude the tournament against Dallas Women Saturday at 5 p.m.
The Movin' Mavs will start day two with a game against Dallas Men 9 a.m. at the Physical Education Building. They will turn around for a rematch with the Crimson Tide 7 p.
