The Movin’ Mavs men’s and women’s basketball teams returned to the court for the first time since last season to play in intersquad scrimmages Thursday at the Maverick Activities Center.
In the men’s game, the Grey team knocked off the Blue team 46-44, while the Blue team defeated the Orange team in the women’s game.
After placing third in the National Intercollegiate Wheelchair Basketball Tournament last season, the Movin’ Mavs will return with a revamped roster.
Movin’ Mavs head coach Doug Garner said this year’s team added six new players from five different countries.
“We’re starting at a higher level than last year,” Garner said.
