The men’s golf team concluded its fall slate Wednesday at the Saint Mary’s Invitational in Pebble Beach, California.
The Mavericks posted a 15th-place finish at 29-over-par 294, 12 strokes ahead of fellow Sun Belt Conference member Texas State University, which placed 18th.
Graduate student Nick Thornton and junior Tanner Gore were the team’s top finishers, as they concluded the tournament tied for 52nd at 6-over-par 219.
Senior Aaron Guanlao followed two strokes behind, tying for 59th at 8-over.
For the Mavericks, freshman Paul Gonzalez registered scores of 74-75-74 to tie for 65th at 10-over and senior Jake Greenspoon turned in scores of 74-78-75 to finish in a tie for 80th at 14-over.
