The men's and women's cross-country teams hosted their annual Gerald Richey UTA Invitational on Friday at Lynn Creek Park in Grand Prairie, Texas.
The men’s team finished first in the meet, with its five scoring runners recording top-ten finishes for a total of 26 points, three ahead of Baylor University.
Senior Michael Guerrero kicked off his final year with a win in his last home meet, clocking in at 15:21. Junior Justin Domangue ran unattached to finish second overall, 10 seconds behind Guerrero.
Junior Cole Klashinsky was the second Maverick to score, placing fourth and scoring three points, finishing in 15:39.
