For the second consecutive game, the men’s basketball team (4-3, 1-0) took on an in-state opponent inside College Park Center. The Mavericks defeated Abilene Christian University 86-71, opening the conference season 1-0.
“I'm just super pleased with the way our guys came out and competed tonight,” head coach KT Turner said postgame. “That was something that we felt like we didn't do against Texas State.”
The game was the first conference matchup of the season for both teams.
