In January, the men’s basketball team learned the Texas State Bobcats couldn’t be taken lightly.
Last time UTA (16-6, 6-3) faced Texas State (13-8, 6-3), the Mavericks had their 11-game win streak snapped by a 81-73 loss to the Bobcats at Strahan Coliseum on Jan. 7. UTA will host Texas State at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at College Park Center.
Despite being picked to finish last in the Sun Belt Conference, the Bobcats are tied with the Mavericks for fourth place and sit just one game out of first place.
The series between both teams has been heated in the past, the Mavericks have a slight edge in the all-time series with a 35-32 head-to-head record.
