The preseason accolades continue to pile on for the men's basketball team.
UTA head coach Scott Cross and junior forward Kevin Hervey were predicted by www.collegesportsmadness.com to win the conference coach of the year and player of the year awards.
Junior guard Erick Neal and Hervey were both selected to be on the conference’s first team and senior guard Jalen Jones was named to the fourth team.
Hervey was also named to the third team preseason all-mid major. Hervey started 16 games last season and averaged 18.1 points and 9.
