UTA Volleyball finished the Ole Miss Invitational 1-2 and dropped to a 3-4 record for the season.
The Mavericks opened the invitational against the Ole Miss Rebels Friday at The Pavilion in Oxford, Miss. Both teams traded leads in the first set, but senior outside hitter Kaitlyn Granger’s four kills and senior setter Cassidy Wheeler’s six assists gave the Mavericks a 25-23 win.
It was the only winning set for the team.
The Rebels took full advantage of their home court and won the next three sets, hanging on to their undefeated record and winning the match 3-1.
