An early deficit was quickly erased by Maverick’s season best offensive night and solid work on the mound.
The Mavericks baseball team (12-11) connected for a season high 17 base hits. They were led by a career night from sophomore designated hitter Christian Hollie for a 10-2 win against the Incarnate Word Cardinals (5-17).
Just a triple away from hitting for the cycle, Hollie finished with four base hits on five at-bats with a homerun, five RBIs, no walks and no strikeouts. Five other Mavericks went for multi-hits at the plate, including junior catcher Brady Cox, who went 3-for-5.
