Head coach Scott Cross’s 200th win will be one to remember.
UTA (23-6, 13-3) celebrated senior day with an 82-67 win against Troy University (16-14, 8-8) on Monday at College Park Center to clinch at least a share of the Sun Belt Conference regular-season title, the first in program history.
“I don’t think I could’ve scripted it any better,” Cross said. “It was just the perfect game.”
The Mavericks closed the half on a 15-5 run after falling behind early to take a 45-30 halftime lead. UTA shot 56 percent from the floor during that period.
