Following a big win over the weekend, junior guard Brian Warren earned Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week honors on Monday.
Warren shared this week’s honor with senior forward Zac Cuthbertson from Coastal Carolina University. Warren, an Indianapolis, Indiana, native dropped a career-high 30 points in an 84-77 double overtime victory over Texas State University on Saturday.
Warren also led the team with four assists in its effort against the Bobcats.
The junior guard currently leads the Mavericks with 72 assists and is second on the team in scoring, averaging 14.5 points per game.
