UTA opened the first game of the Lady Movin’ Mavs Wheelchair Basketball tournament with a 64-45 victory over the University of Arizona on Friday night at the Physical Education Building.
The Lady Movin’ Mavs opened up the first quarter with a 12-0 run. Arizona struggled to keep up with UTA’s offense for the majority of the game.
Sophomore Annabelle Lindsay finished the night with 18 points in only 15 minutes of playing time.
“It’s a really good win for us,” Lindsay said. “We had some of our freshmen hit buckets that we haven't really seen them hit before, so I think it was a great team win for us.
