With just over a week until the Sun Belt Championship, the women’s basketball team has control of its own destiny.
The Lady Mavs (13-14, 8-9) start this week in sixth place in conference standing and have a chance to move into the top four of the conference and pave an easier road in the tournament.
They are a game-and-a-half out of fifth and fourth place, which is currently held by South Alabama(14-13, 10-8) and Troy (15-12, 10-8), respectively. The Lady Mavs will play both of them this week in their three-game home stand to close out the season.
