A pair of home games against the University of Arkansas and the University of Southern California highlight the women’s basketball nonconference schedule, which was released by head coach Krista Gerlich on Monday.
“Any time we can get those Power-Five schools on our home floor, we want to do that,” Gerlich said. “We want them to see how awesome our arena is and our crowd and things like that. Secondly, it’s just great competition.”
The Lady Mavericks tip off the 2018-19 season on Saturday, Nov. 10 against Jackson State University. The Saturday game will be part of a homecoming doubleheader with the men’s basketball team.
