The opportunity to defeat the University of Arkansas-Little Rock may finally be within head coach Krista Gerlich’s reach.
UTA will shoot for its first win against Little Rock since joining the Sun Belt Conference in 2013.
“It’s a team I haven’t beaten in my tenure, so our kids will be really fired up about it,” Gerlich said. “It’s a way for us to get back in the hunt for the championship run.”
The Trojans sit at the helm of the Sun Belt Conference standings, boasting an 11-0 conference record. UTA is currently tied for second with Troy University, sitting two-and-a-half games behind Little Rock.
