The Lady Mavericks will face the University of Louisiana Monroe Warhawks at 5:15 p.m. Thursday in Monroe, Louisiana.
The game will be the first of a five-game road trip for the women’s basketball team to try to get back on track against the last place team in the conference.
The Lady Mavs have gotten solid production from senior guard Amara Wainwright who has scored in double-figures in three of the past four games.
Amara said although she has mostly been a role player, her teammates really look to her for leadership and have allowed her to step up when they’ve needed her.
