Thanks to a career game by sophomore center Rebekah VanDijk, UTA head coach Krista Gerlich earned her 200th career victory.
With the 80-48 win over Texas State (10-12, 5-7), UTA (11-11, 6-6) has now won its last three games en route to a 4-1 road trip.
Gerlich credited her players for helping her achieve this milestone.
“It is exciting,” Gerlich said in a press release to www.utamavs.com. “It is all about our players and coaching staffs. I have had so much help.”
The Mavs got out to a quick start, holding a 20-6 run at the end of the first quarter and never trailed after that.
