After a disappointing loss last time against Georgia State, the Lady Mavs (10-11, 5-6) got revenge against the Panthers (9-12, 4-8) with a 74-45 blowout win Saturday at GSU Sports Arena.
The Lady Mavs led a balanced attack with three scorers in double figures, including a resurgent performance from sophomore guard Cierra Johnson who had 15 points, 4 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 steals.
UTA came out firing, heading into the second half with a 37-25 lead.
In their last matchup, trouble arose for the Lady Mavs as they entered the third with a 10-point lead before getting outscored 25-2 in the quarter.
