On a playing field with 121 golfers, Stuart Deane placed 13th in the TPx Communications Western Championship on Tuesday at the Texas Star Golf Course in Euless.
The golf director carded an overall score of 1-over-par 143, sinking seven birdies and eight bogeys. Despite a 13th place finish, Deane holds three western championship titles, with his most recent in 2016.
Deane ended the first round in fifth place at 2-under-par 69. He sat behind four other golfers, with three tied for first place. The Australian native sunk five birdies and three bogeys in round No. 1.
As the competition rose in the final round, Deane shot 3-over-par 74, recording two birdies and five bogeys.
