A few current and former Lady Movin’ Mavs punched their ticket to the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo.
Graduate student Darlene Hunter and alumnae Rose Hollermann, Abby Dunkin and Josie Aslakson are the few Mavericks representing the U.S. Women’s Wheelchair Basketball team. Incoming freshman Elodie Tessier represents Canada.
The U.S. defeated Argentina 82-24 Thursday in the semifinals of the 2019 Parapan American Games to advance to the finals.
Team USA will face Canada in the finals on Friday. While the winner of the matchup will take gold in the Parapan American Games, both teams automatically qualify for the Paralympics.
