Dallas Wings faces fifth-consecutive loss

Blurb + online tease: The WNBA team lost to the Connecticut Sun 89-78 Wednesday. The team strives to regroup before their Friday night game against the Atlanta Dream.

The Dallas Wings (9-15) are streaking into the Olympic break, just not the way they intended.

After an 89-78 loss to the Connecticut Sun (7-16), the last-place team in the Eastern Conference, the Wings dropped their fifth straight game with only one more remaining before the break.

A 0-8 shooting start from the floor put the Wings in an early 7-0 hole in the first quarter. The Wings finished the quarter shooting 35 percent from the floor and fell behind 20-15 after one.
