Dallas Wings drop fifth straight game in matchup against Phoenix Mercury

The Dallas Wings (5-14) fell 70-66 to the Phoenix Mercury (9-8) to record their fifth-straight loss heading into the All-Star break.

It was their second meeting this week, with Phoenix coming out on top 69-64 on Wednesday. Head coach Brian Agler said games like these are defined in the final minutes, and Dallas was unable to do that tonight.

Despite hot runs by forwards Glory Johnson and Kayla Thornton in the second half, the Wings lacked the clinical edge to finish off the game. Johnson ended with 15 points and nine boards, while Thornton had 16 points with seven boards.
