A 24-point deficit was too much for the Dallas Wings (9-18) to stop their eight-game losing streak as they fell to the Chicago Sky (13-13) in a 92-85 loss Sunday at College Park Center.
The Sky came out firing in the first quarter as they shot 63.2 percent from the floor to take a 32-16 lead after one.
Things went from bad to worse starting the second quarter as the Wings were held scoreless for the first 4:48 of the quarter, and they fell behind 40-16 before Wings forward Aerial Powers scored nine points in the quarter to lead a 21-10 charge, which cut the Sky’s lead to 50-37 at halftime.
