Dallas Wings boost roster with 2019 WNBA Draft selections

The Dallas Wings hosted a viewing party of the 2019 WNBA Draft on Wednesday where the team looked to shore up some positions of need.

With the 5th pick in the draft, the Wings selected guard Arike Ogunbowale from the University of Notre Dame.

A shooting guard at Notre Dame, Ogunbowale didn’t fit the team’s need at the point guard position but she was too talented to pass up, said Greg Bibb, Dallas Wings President and CEO.

“If talent’s there, you take talent and you figure it out later,” Bibb said. “By having [Ogunbowale] there’s some other players on the roster who could slide over and play point.
