Led by a 20-point outing from center Liz Cambage, the Dallas Wings (6-5) defeated the Los Angeles Sparks 101-72 on Friday at College Park Center.
“It was a good team effort from everyone,” head coach Fred Williams said. “Our defense really put the tone in that first half and that carried over to the third quarter.”
The first quarter was a back-and-forth battle, with each team taking the lead or tying with each possession until power forward Azura Stevens’ three-pointer with just under three minutes left in the first ended the quarter up 26-18.
