Dallas Wings add length to roster with WNBA Draft picks

The Dallas Wings added a pair of 6-footers and a guard to their roster during the 2018 WNBA Draft on Thursday.

The WNBA Draft was held in New York City at the Nike New York headquarters, but the Dallas Wings hosted its own watch party at College Park Center.

In the first round with the sixth pick, the Wings selected 6-foot-6-inch power forward Azura Stevens from the University of Connecticut.

Stevens averaged 14.7 points and 7.4 rebounds last season and led her team with 76 blocked shots. Stevens and her team reached the Final Four of the NCAA Division I women’s basketball tournament before falling to eventual champion, the University of Notre Dame.
